WHAT IS DEMITASSE DETROIT?

The Congregation Detroit proudly presents its vintage 1956 Duro camper, meticulously restored and converted into a mobile coffee and bar operation. This charming retro vehicle combines nostalgia with modern convenience, offering expertly crafted coffee and an array of beverages for any event. Perfect for adding a unique touch to your gatherings, our vintage camper brings a delightful blend of history and hospitality to your special occasions.

WHAT DOES DEMITASSE MEAN?

The word “demitasse” comes from the French term meaning “half cup,” reflecting its smaller size compared to a standard coffee cup.

DO YOU HAVE AN HOURLY MINIMUM?

While we enjoy all events, our coffee packages have a two hour minimum and our bar packages have a four hour minimum. Both packages include additional time for load in and load out.

WHAT ARE THE POWER REQUIREMENTS?

Full coffee packages require a minimum of 50 amps, while bar packages only need a 110v access. If neither are available, we do provide a generator at no additional charge.

HOW FAR WILL YOU TRAVEL?

We will travel within 50 miles of The Congregation, which is located at 9321 Rosa Parks Blvd. Detroit, MI 48206. If it is a multi day event, we will consider traveling a further distance.

DO YOU PROVIDE THE ALCOHOL?

Certainly! This order will be billed separately from your bar package option. You also have the option to supply your own alcohol or use your caterer, and we’ll handle everything else! Please note that glassware, decor, and fresh floral arrangements are not included in any package.

WHAT KIND OF INSURANCE IS REQUIRED?

We come to every party with liquor liability insurance & general liability insurance along with our TIPS certified bartenders.

CAN WE DO A CASH BAR?

Unfortunately, due to Michigan state liquor laws and regulations, we are unable to permit a cash bar.

WHAT HAPPENS IF WE HAVE BAD WEATHER?

Due to the nature of our advanced booking model, we are unable to predict dates with rain or inclement weather. In the event rain or adverse weather conditions are forecasted for your outdoor event, we are happy to collaborate with your tent vendor to determine the appropriate tent size for our bar services. Please note that tents must have a minimum height of 10 feet to accommodate our camper.

WHAT IS REQUIRED TO RESERVE MY DATE?

We require a 50% deposit and completed contract to save a date if more than 30 days out. If event is within 30 days, 100% of the payment is due at time of booking.
